Filmmaker Bio: Born in Iran, Mitra Tabrizian is a filmmaker & a photographer. She has exhibited widely and in major international galleries & museums. Her photographic work has been in public collections including Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK; Arts Council of Great Britain; Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, USA; Alvar Aalto Museum, Finland; Museum of Folkwang, Essen, Germany. She has received several awards. Her photographic books include Correct Distance, and Beyond the Limits. Her earlier two films, Journey of No Return (1991) and The Third Woman (1993) have both been screened at film festivals worldwide. |
