Biography:
Bashar Azzouz was born in Mosul, Iraq and grew up
in Beirut, Lebanon. He picked up a camera at a very young age, and was
printing in a darkroom at the age of 15. While pursuing his graduate studies
in Engineering at Columbia University in the early 80’s, he assisted
fashion and advertising photographers.
He worked as a trader for various financial institutions until 1999 and
spent his vacations traveling and taking pictures. He now consults in
asset allocation, teaches investment management, and dedicates more time
to his photography. He always takes his camera on business trips.
Bashar Azzouz also serves on the board of directors of ArteEast.
