Biography:
Majid Fadaiian was born in Iran. He is a painter and expert in traditional Islamic and Persian art. His arts, both of traditional and modern techniques, include manuscripts, works of calligraphy, lacquer paintings, miniatures, and ceramics and have been exhibited all over the world. In addition to his original works, Mr. Fadaiian has been called upon from all over the world to restore antique and ancient works of art from the Middle East. He has won several awards for his outstanding achievements including an award from The 3th Annual Protectors of Manuscripts from the Library & Documentation Center of the I.R.IRAN Consultative Assembly and the Best in the category of Lacquer Painting & Preservation. His works has been published in many books and magazines including an article, “Art of Katibeh”, from the book Splendor of Iran, UK 2001. And an article “Katibeh in Calligraphy”, University Publishing Center, Tehran, IR 1999.
