Biography:
Rawi Hage was born in Beirut, Lebanon and immigrated to Canada in 1992. He is a writer, a visual artist, activist and a curator. His writings have appeared in Fuse Magazine, Mizna, Jouvert, The Toronto Review, Montreal Serai, and Al-Jadid. His visual works have been shown in various galleries and museums around the world. He is the curator of The First Minneapolis Arab Film Festival; “So Much I Want to Say”. He is also the co-curator of the art exhibit “Artists Against the Occupation”. Rawi Hage is the recipient of the Canada council grant for the arts and the Conseil des arts et des Letters de Quebec. He resides in Montreal, Canada.
