Biography:
Nabil Nahas was born in Beirut in 1949 and lives in New York City. He
received his BFA from Louisiana State University and his MFA from Yale.
In 1980, he received a Fellowship Grant from the National Endowment for
the Arts. He has had personal exhibitions since the mid-1970s, including
the Robert Miller Gallery and the Holly Solomon Gallery in New York, the
25th Bienal De Sao Paulo and Galerie Montenay in Paris. Nahas participated
in group exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brian Gross
Gallery in San Francisco, Galerie Tanit in Munich and the American Academy
of Arts and Letters in New York. His work has been reviewed in numerous
publications including The New York Times, Art Forum and New York Magazine
and appears in the public collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art
and FAE, Musée d'art moderne, Pully-Lausanne, Switzerland. |
