Biography:
Jayce Salloum has been working in installation, photography, video, mixed
media, and performance, since 1975, as well as curating exhibitions, conducting
workshops and coordinating cultural projects. A media arts philosopher
and cultural activist, Salloum has lectured internationally and exhibited
throughout the Americas and Europe, and in East Asia and the Middle East,
at institutions including, The Museum of Modern Art, New York; National
Gallery of Canada; Walker Arts Center; The Wexner Center; Long Beach Museum
of Art; American Fine Arts; Kunstlerhaus Bethanien; Nationale du Jeu de
Paume; Rotterdam International Film Festival; Singapore International
Film Festival; British Film Institute; Museo Nacional Centro De Arte Reina
Sofia; and CaixaForum, Barcelona.
In 2003 he represented Canada at the 8th Havana Biennial.
