Synopsis
The Pot is a short, unconventional documentary that gives space for women to express themselves freely about the experience of pregnancy and its impact on their relationships with their bodies, in the shadow of a society that still regards them as vessels to carry progeny.

Filmmaker's Biography
Born in Damascus in 1977, raised in Syria and Iraq, el-Jeiroudi graduated from the University of Damascus with a degre in English literarture. With a group of dynamic filmmakers, actors and producers, she started Proaction Films, the only independent film production outfit in Syria operating today, where she works in production. The Pot (Al-Qaroura, 2005) is her first foray in directing, it has traveled to a number of festivals for film and experimental video.
